Shenandoah Nat’l Park

A few fun pics from a recent (and abbreviated, due to the steady rain) trip to the central district of the park. Foliage transition is in effect FYI!!  Another two weeks and it’ll be nice up there, IMO. The monarch butterflies (in case you’re in the area and have somehow not noticed) are moving through too.

Lovely wedding and dinner at Carter’s Mountain, then after-reception at 2nd Street Gallery (LiveArts) Rooftop. Beehive Events handled coordination, floral arrangements and details. Letoile catered. In case you’re wondering, I’m less of an aircraft buff than my wife, but love shooting fast & interesting things, and happened to have my super-long lens with me this week 🙂

Back Bay Wildlife Refuge

I spent some time yesterday in this vast wildlife refuge between Va Beach and NC’s Outer Banks. Some interesting (and venomous) sights.. At one point I saw 3 poisonous snakes within a 20 yard span. Each was within 6 feet before I noticed it. YeeHaw!
